Can you hear me now?

(from last night)

#59 Replace cell phone with iPhone

Today I took a few minutes to look at what this will cost. As of today, 8G is $400 and 16G is $500. 2 yr minimum contract is required with AT &T and 450 min a month is $60/month. Also 200 text msgs. Also mentioned but no specific amount given, an activation fee. Very important to remember, at this rate weekends/nights are not unlimited, its 5,000 min

It seems like I rarely talk on the phone enough to really hit 600 minutes. Each time I did that, it was during a month with unusually high activity with the dog rescue. And I don’t really take advantage of weekend/nights either. Jan bill shows 100 texts sent and received. 217 peak minutes and about the same for weeknight/weekend. Feb shows 70 texts, 250 peak and same again for non peak.

I pay about $50 now even though the rates are cheaper now for a 600 min plan. I do NOT want to get locked into another minimum time contract right now unless it’s with a new phone. And I still very much want the iPhone.

Also noted that if I watch ebay, might be able to find a gently used 8G iPhone for an extra $100 off. However, I think I might go for the 16G anyways.

Isn’t a new version of the iPhone due this year? The “camera” on the iPhone is currently pretty crappy. I was sent a photo recently from one and it was craptastic even accounting for lighting and nighttime issues.

At this point, I’m not close to being able to get this as I predicted a couple months ago but that’s ok. I know why that is and it’s fine. Might be able to do this in July if taxes work out like I hope they will.
