Last night, I decided to work on #28 and see about getting that prescription from 6 months ago refilled. I’d tried before in January but failed cause the original doctor wrote down the wrong medicine in my file and the other doctor and I played a guessing game to figure out which one it was. And it turned out to be the wrong one. CVS said they’d contact the doctor for authorization to dispense the correct one.

But that was enough to set off my weird paralysis with having a hard time following through with all the steps needed to get any kind of medical help. Last Fall was an exception with those intense stomach pains because untreated, they’d get bad enough to send me to the ER.

The guy at CVS couldn’t find anything about this script and I’d been so frustrated that I’d left it with the gal at CVS in January so of course it was all long gone. He said he’d call today about it. I doubt it’ll actually work. I’m going to have to go in again and request it but this time I’m going to insist that I not be charged a co-pay. Considering that the original doctor didn’t write it down correctly, it’s their mistake.

I did pay the co-pay in January but that was because I was already there for a work related injury to my neck.

It was Step #1 on my list to get this goal accomplished. Next is to check and see if CVS calls me today. If not, then go to the clinic. I should be able to walk away with the script I need but then I really need to see about finding a primary care doctor. This goal isn’t considered finished until I have a primary care doctor who will keep up the script.
