Wow… that was a lot of work tonight and I’m pleased that I was able to stick with it.

Got home earlyish because I thought Angela was wanting to go to the grocery store tonight but no. So I took the dogs out and then got to work on sorting out the cookbooks.

Friday night, I got started on the project of finally doing something with all those books I got from Craigslist (from a guy in Downey). Saturday, I took all the books I wasn’t keeping for myself and took them to Out of the Closet. All except the cooking books.

I think Angela’s got the right idea about selling them in lots so tonight I didn’t let myself sit down. Cleared the table and sorted the books. Then made up boxes and split the piles up into what’d fit into the boxes.

I almost stopped there but told myself to keep going. Photographed & typed up all the books and put them back in the boxes. Almost broke my head and laptop when the boxes came down on us! Because with the books in them, those boxes weigh upwards of 10lbs each!

Now need to list them on Ebay. I’m hoping I can leave the boxes packed up. Just stick in the invoice and seal it. With that in mind, I labeled the boxes to make it easy to figure out which is which.

But I’ve run out of time tonight since I also cleaned more of the kitchen and cooked myself a chicken breast. AND made my lunch salad for tomorrow and Wednesday and cooked an extra chicken breast for the salad tomorrow. Which reminds me, it should be cooled off enough now to cut up and put it in.

Out of salad makings for now. Will need to go the grocery store myself. I’m not actually trying to hit #73 on the list yet. I’m just warming up to trying to develop the actual habit of making salads & eating them.

Need to also find a nice crockpot recipe or two because guess who bought herself one for $18 at Target on Friday? It’s another goal on my list so I’m happy.

All in all, making lots of progress on the “work” aspects of my list. Starting with the housework on Friday night, I can feel the meds starting to help me focus better on what I’m doing. I don’t get so easily distracted.

Tomorrow sees me head back to the roller rink for the first time in 3 weeks. My knee is almost completely healed. Just a bit bone sore still.

I have in my hand, a bottle of meds!

I’d originally planned to try to go to the rollerskating lesson tonight but I got distracted enough at work that I didn’t finish the current project by 6pm. But around 3pm, I’d already started to think that perhaps it wouldn’t be so bad to not go tonight… because I could then follow up with the clinic and get those mother loving pills!

Mission accomplished and I feel good. Now just have to do the ramp up period again.

Next is finding a primary care doc and making an appt to establish connection and then I should be able to cross this off my list as complete.

I even got the names of the people at CVS that I feel dropped the ball on their part. Not sure if I’ll file a formal complaint but the nice gal there empathized with me and admitted that she thought things were a little too lax around there.

Where’s the line between making complaints because you’re pissed off and want “revenge” and being pissed off and not wanting to let them continue acting like that? Cause it’s easy to feel all three.

Whatever. I’ve got what I need so moving on!

Last night, I decided to work on #28 and see about getting that prescription from 6 months ago refilled. I’d tried before in January but failed cause the original doctor wrote down the wrong medicine in my file and the other doctor and I played a guessing game to figure out which one it was. And it turned out to be the wrong one. CVS said they’d contact the doctor for authorization to dispense the correct one.

But that was enough to set off my weird paralysis with having a hard time following through with all the steps needed to get any kind of medical help. Last Fall was an exception with those intense stomach pains because untreated, they’d get bad enough to send me to the ER.

The guy at CVS couldn’t find anything about this script and I’d been so frustrated that I’d left it with the gal at CVS in January so of course it was all long gone. He said he’d call today about it. I doubt it’ll actually work. I’m going to have to go in again and request it but this time I’m going to insist that I not be charged a co-pay. Considering that the original doctor didn’t write it down correctly, it’s their mistake.

I did pay the co-pay in January but that was because I was already there for a work related injury to my neck.

It was Step #1 on my list to get this goal accomplished. Next is to check and see if CVS calls me today. If not, then go to the clinic. I should be able to walk away with the script I need but then I really need to see about finding a primary care doctor. This goal isn’t considered finished until I have a primary care doctor who will keep up the script.
