As I said before, not trying to actually do #73 yet which is to make and eat the salads of the kind I used to eat a couple years ago, for a week.

I’m working my way up to it to keep from feeling overwhelmed with trying to accomplish too much at once.

Here’s a picture of yesterday’s salad which is the same as today’s except that I was too tired last night to grill another chicken breast for today’s salad.

Split between the two tubs:

1 pkg of romaine hearts

1 pkg of spinach

the rest of the cherry tomatos that were getting old

handful of cashews

some shredded cheddar/monterey jack cheese

what was left of a thing of garlic herb feta cheese

The chicken was really good yesterday and was simple to do.

I eat these without any dressing. Usually there’s enough wet stuff in the salads to make it wet enough to eat. The red pepper I had from last week had already started to mold so only had tomatoes for moisture for these.

Between the different flavors, these are tasty enough to eat without dressing anyways!

At some point need to go by Trader Joes for the dried cherries which is another thing I love in these.

Hmmm… I think I’ll put some of these tangerines on my desk into today salad.

Wow… that was a lot of work tonight and I’m pleased that I was able to stick with it.

Got home earlyish because I thought Angela was wanting to go to the grocery store tonight but no. So I took the dogs out and then got to work on sorting out the cookbooks.

Friday night, I got started on the project of finally doing something with all those books I got from Craigslist (from a guy in Downey). Saturday, I took all the books I wasn’t keeping for myself and took them to Out of the Closet. All except the cooking books.

I think Angela’s got the right idea about selling them in lots so tonight I didn’t let myself sit down. Cleared the table and sorted the books. Then made up boxes and split the piles up into what’d fit into the boxes.

I almost stopped there but told myself to keep going. Photographed & typed up all the books and put them back in the boxes. Almost broke my head and laptop when the boxes came down on us! Because with the books in them, those boxes weigh upwards of 10lbs each!

Now need to list them on Ebay. I’m hoping I can leave the boxes packed up. Just stick in the invoice and seal it. With that in mind, I labeled the boxes to make it easy to figure out which is which.

But I’ve run out of time tonight since I also cleaned more of the kitchen and cooked myself a chicken breast. AND made my lunch salad for tomorrow and Wednesday and cooked an extra chicken breast for the salad tomorrow. Which reminds me, it should be cooled off enough now to cut up and put it in.

Out of salad makings for now. Will need to go the grocery store myself. I’m not actually trying to hit #73 on the list yet. I’m just warming up to trying to develop the actual habit of making salads & eating them.

Need to also find a nice crockpot recipe or two because guess who bought herself one for $18 at Target on Friday? It’s another goal on my list so I’m happy.

All in all, making lots of progress on the “work” aspects of my list. Starting with the housework on Friday night, I can feel the meds starting to help me focus better on what I’m doing. I don’t get so easily distracted.

Tomorrow sees me head back to the roller rink for the first time in 3 weeks. My knee is almost completely healed. Just a bit bone sore still.
